President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi considered the March 18 of 2011 a crucial day and the first seed of the political solution, which is known as the Gulf initiative. This came in the President’s speech at the opening session of the National Dialogue Conference, which was held on Monday at the Presidency House in Sana’a. The president described this day as an exceptional, in which Yemenis coalesced together in one hall to begin writing a new white page in their modern history, stressing the need to leave the past in all its details and come out of the trenches of fanaticisms. "We are today at a defining moment requires all of us to have a strong will to change our ways of thinking and mechanisms of performance”, the president said. The President expressed his confidence in the ability of Yemenis to make miracles if overpowered the small disputes and narrow interests. He called upon all to evoke the experiences of the contemporary peoples which emerged from their setbacks and made huge shifts in limited periods of time.
