At their meeting, Hadi and Kerry reviewed issues of mutual cooperation between the two friendly countries as well as means to enhance them in all areas. They also made reference to developments on the Yemeni arena, topped by the stages of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) within the framework of the political settlement in Yemen based on the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism as well as the Security Council's resolutions. The American Secretary welcomed the visit of President Hadi and reiterated the support of the U.S. to the security, stability and unity of Yemen. He noted that the U.S. would give priority in allocating humanitarian assistance for Yemen, calling donor countries and organizations to fulfill their obligations towards Yemen to prop up the current democratic and historic transition witnessed in the country. For his part, President Hadi hailed the Yemeni-American relations, praising the role of the American ambassador to Yemen Gerald Feierstein in strengthening the two countries' bilateral relations. The President also touched on achievements of the NDC and the ongoing arrangements to hold the Yemen Friends' meeting, calling the American companies and institutions to invest in Yemen. In the same context, Hadi highlighted the Yemeni government's vision over the steps of getting back the Yemeni detainees and to set up a comprehensive program to rehabilitate and integrate them in the community.
