A group of masked thugs hurled Molotov cocktail bombs early today morning at a number of cars parked in the garage of two buildings in Lawzi area in Hamad Town, thus endangering the lives of people, Northern Police director-general said. The terrorist attack was reported to Southern Hamad Town police station at around 2:50 am. The two buildings were evacuated and fire was put out before engulfing the flats. No injuries were reported in the attack which gutted four vehicles and damaged the walls of the buildings. At around 3:10 am the station was alerted to a second attack in which two masked men targeted two cars with Molotov cocktails. They were parked in front of a building in roundabout 15 in Hamad Town. The residents put out the fire before reaching other vehicles. He said that the police and forensic experts were deployed and the public prosecution was notified about the two cases. He said that investigation will continue. The ministry appealed to the public to report any information they might have on police hotline 80008008. All calls are treated as confidential.
