The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said Thursday the call by President Mahmoud Abbas for a Palestinian state without UN membership is disputable. "Thought it pertains to the future of the Palestinian people, the call expresses a personal or unilateral stance that can unlikely be accepted by our people," Hamas spokesman Sami Abu-Zohri said in a press release received here by KUNA. He was commenting on Abbas's speech earlier today at the 67th session of the UN General Assembly where the Palestinian leader sought international recognition of Palestine as a non-member of the UN. "The call arouses many questions, suspicions and observations," Abu-Zohri added.
