Haniyeh visits Egypt to discuss security, Gaza siege

Head of Palestinian deposed government Ismail Haniyeh is set to arrive in Egypt on Thursday, where he is due to meet with Egyptian Prime Minister Hesham Qandil. “Haniyeh will leave the Gaza Strip heading to Egypt to meet with Egyptian Prime Minister Hesham Qandil,” the deposed government spokesman Taher al-Nunu said in a statement. Haniyeh’s meeting with Qandil will discuss issues pertaining to security and the Gaza Strip siege, a statement carried by Maan News Agency said.
