Hawaii is only a signature away from becoming 15th state in U.S. to legalize gay weddings as the state Senate passed the bill . Governor Neil Abercrombie called lawmakers to a special session over the bill and confirmed he would sign the bill Tuesday. The measure will allow thousands of gay couples living in Hawaii and even more tourists from outside to marry in the State. According to an estimation of a researcher from University of Hawaii, the law will boost tourism by 217 million dollars over the next three years, as Hawaii becomes a paradise for couples to bring their ceremonies, reception and honeymoons to the islands. The legislation will go into effect on Dec. 2.
