Head of the Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum (SCER) Judge Mohammad al-Hakimi met on Wednesday with the European experts team, who is currently visiting Yemen headed by former governor of Paris, Daniel Canepa. Judge al-Hakimi commended the efforts made by donors and the European Union in supporting the democracy in Yemen, especially the efforts and activities of the SCER. He presented a detailed explanation to the European delegation on the main components regarding the tasks assigned to the Commission according to the current structure. Al-Hakimi touched on the underway preparations regarding the document of the electoral electronic register, which will be completed by end of February. For his part, head of the European experts praised the great success achieved by the Commission during the past phase, pointing to the important role of the international community in supporting the efforts aiming to complete the transition process in Yemen.
