Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah hailed the Friday the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip for its victory over Israel, saying that "the Islamic and Arab worlds have witnessed a new victory." "The lesson from the Gazan war is that resistance movements were capable of creating a balance between deterrence and terrorization of the enemy," Nasrallah said in a televised speech. "The resistance's victory was not only accomplished by thwarting aggression, it was also able to impose its own conditions on the enemy and refused his." Egypt announced on Wednesday that a ceasefire between Israel and the Gaza-based Palestinian groups, ending a week of violence in and around the Gaza Strip that killed more than 150 people.
