Hizbullah politburo member Ghaleb Abou Zainab stated on Monday that the party supports the Free Patriotic Movement in any position it takes. He said: “If the FPM decided to resort to street action to achieve Lebanon’s interest, then we will join it as well.” He made his statements after holding talks with FPM leader MP Michel Aoun at the head of a Hizbullah delegation on the anniversary of the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the two sides in 2006. He added that the MOU helped restore balance on Lebanon’s internal scene, granting the country stability that will prevent Israel from meddling in the country’s affairs. Aoun threatened to stage demonstrations in order to protest the government’s alleged obstruction of Energy Minister Jebran Bassil’s electricity plan. The plan allows the minister to receive $1,200,000,000 to implement a project on producing 700 Megawatts of electricity. Beirut - Naharnet
