Hollande meets Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan

French President Francois Hollande and Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan, currently on a visit to Paris, on Wednesday reviewed issues related to bilateral relations and agreed to develop them. Speaking about yesterday’s international ministerial-level conference to support Libya, Zeidan pointed to the U.N. and the international community’s contributions to Libya’s independence in 1951 and the February 17 revolution. Zeidan noted that all the conference parties showed interest in supporting Libya’s security and stability and assist in its development and reform path in order to rebuild the country. In a related development, French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault met Zeidan today, where they discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation and means of further developing them, as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern.
