Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the United States is ready to work with Moscow on the new draft resolution presented to the U.N. Security Council on Thursday, condemning the violence in Syria. The Russian draft condemns violence by all parties, including the use of "disproportionate" force by Syrian authorities. It also raises concern over what is termed the "illegal supply of weapons" to armed groups in Syria. At a press event with Danish Foreign Minister Villy Soevndal, Clinton said the Russian draft can be the basis for negotiation. "We’re going to study the draft carefully. It will have to be shared with the Arab League, which has taken the lead on the response to what s going on in Syria," Voice of America (VOA) quoted today the US Secretary of State as saying.
