Deputy Minister of Housing Ahmed Adel Darwish will head for the US Wednesday to attend the 17th annual conference on lands and poverty due to be held in the main premises of the World Bank in Washington and ends on March 18.
More than 1000 international figures from more than 125 countries take part in the event, according to a statement of the ministry Tuesday.
Egypt’s participation in the event asserts its support for the international community in combating poverty, the statement said.
Egypt’s participation in the conference offers a chance for Egypt to present its vision on handling slums and discussing international experiments and means followed to manage lands.
