Hundreds of thousands of Yemenis protested in 17 governorates Friday and called on the international community to penalize President Ali Abdullah Saleh's regime for alleged crimes against the Yemeni people and peaceful protesters. The protesters said they were determined to continue their peaceful protests until prosecution of members of Saleh's regime for their crimes. The organizing committee of the peaceful revolution, in a statement, called on Yemenis to participate in a massive protest to be staged tomorrow in central Sanaa, a spot of military tension between protesters and pro-Saleh forces. Meanwhile, tens of thousands of pro-Saleh supporters gathered in the Sab'een Square near the Presidential Palace.
