Tunisian security authorities have managed to thwart an illegal attempt of emigration abroad through the Tunisian territorial waters, the second of its kind in less than twenty four hours. The Tunisian Interior Ministry said in a statement today that National Guard units seized last night a boat carrying about 20 people at Rades coast, in the southern suburbs of Tunis while attempting to cross the maritime border. The Maritime Guard units in Ksibet El Mediouni, from Al Munastir province in the centre of east Tunisia, foiled yesterday a similar attempt and arrested 64 people who were later referred to court.
