Immigration Minister Nabila Makram has stressed the need to benefit from Egyptian migrant brainpowers.
This is no longer a dream, Makram said in a cultural seminar Tuesday night, noting that a national conference of Egyptian scientists, the first, will be held on December 14 and a database of overseas brainpowers will be outlined soon.
Remittances of Egyptian expats have increased after the pounds was floated, the minister noted.
A committee has been formed to probe whether to exempt cars of Egyptians working abroad, Makram said.
"Our goal is to meet the demands of Egyptians abroad and protect State rights," she told the seminar.
