
India Saturday condemned a recent attack in Somalia during which eleven persons were killed."We strongly denounce the terrorist attack on the Presidential compound in Mogadishu, Somalia on Friday during which several senior officials were among those killed," Indian Foreign Ministry stated."We are heartened by the resolve of the Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to carry forward the efforts of the Somali Government and people to restore stability to their country," it added.Indian said it condemns "terrorism in all its manifestations regardless of its causes." At least 11 people were killed when militants attacked the Somali presidential compound, Villa Somalia, on Friday. The militants lobbed bombs, blew up the gates with car bomb, and engaged security officers in a fierce gunfight. During the attack, however, Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud remained unhurt. Later, militant group Al-Shabaab took the responsibility for the attack.
