Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa will visit Cambodia for ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting on Jan. 10-12, an official said on Friday. "This would be the first FMs' meeting in a form of retreat in Cambodia. The ministers will discuss regional and international issues ASEAN has interest in. They will also discuss progress in the context of ASEAN Community building," said Michael Tene, spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry. He said that one issue Indonesia needs to encourage is comprehensive maritime cooperation. "Even though ASEAN has its own institutions to address maritime isssues, Indonesia wants the cooperation to be developed between ASEAN countries and our dialog partners. The cooperation could be developed into a confidence building so that the issue could close our relations in the region," said Tene. Indonesia handed over rotating chairmanship of 10-member ASEAN to Cambodia for the year of 2012.
