
Indonesian President Joko Widodo announced his second cabinet reshuffles at the State Palace on Wednesday as he aims to speed up economic growth and get more support of political parties.
Most of the reshuffle was conducted on economic posts as the government is gearing up a huge influx of capital repatriation and aims at accelerating the implementation of massive economic stimulus packages, China's (Xinhua) News Agency reported.
Nine ministerial posts were reshuffled and repositioned, such ministries of finance, trade, transport, energy, security law and political affairs, education, President Widodo said.
On the reason of a cabinet reshuffle, President Joko said he wanted to tackle many economic-related issues, including poverty alleviation, financial inequalities, and threats form slowing world economy and the fierce global competitiveness.
