Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is to announce his new cabinet lineup on Tuesday evening and officially inaugurate new ministers and their deputies on Wednesday, presidential spokesman Julian Aldrin Pasha said on Tuesday. President Yudhoyono has picked up six new ministers in his cabinet reshuffle to boost the work performance of his administration at the rest of his tenure by 2014. The spokesman told Xinhua that the announcement would be conducted at 8 o'clock local time. There are several ministerial posts which are believed to be reshuffled, including Energy Ministry and Transport Ministry. President Yudhoyono has appointed Gita Wirawan, chairman of investment coordinating board as new trade minister, Dahlan Iskan, President Director of state electricity firm Perusahaan Listrik Negara as new minister for state-owned enterprises, Senior lawyer Amir Syamuddin as minister of law and human rights, Djan Farid, chairman of Jakarta chapter of the biggest Muslim Organization Nahdlatul Ulema as housing minister, Marciano Norman, former special force commander for presidential security as new intelligent chief, and Azwar Abubakar, a member of Commission One in charge of politics of the parliament as minister of state apparatus. Yudhoyono has conducted the reshuffle following the decline of image of his cabinet due to allegation on scores of ministries on graft and personal affairs scandals. President Yudhoyono was re-elected in July 2009, vowing to strengthen the reform that he had made during his first five-year term. He targets an annual economic growth average of 6.6 percent by the reminder of his term by 2014 so as to create million of jobs through building massive infrastructure and improving governance.
