
International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr presided over a ministerial meeting on Friday to discuss preparations for the 5th meeting of the Egyptian-Kazakh committee for economic, scientific and technical cooperation, set for Cairo in September.
The minister, during the meeting, stressed the need to activate agreements that were signed by the two countries to promote bilateral cooperation and work on increasing the number of Kazakh tourists to Egypt.
She also called for boosting bilateral cooperation in the establishment of the new administrative capital and in the petroleum and pharmaceuticals fields.
She underlined the importance of benefiting from President Abdel-Fatah el Sisi's recent visit to Astana to push forward the the comprehensive economic development.
The minister also called for removing all obstacles to the convocation of the committee that was last convened in 2007.
For her part, Investment Minister Dalia Khorshid stressed the necessity of boosting trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the petroleum and pharmaceuticals domains.
