
International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nassr received on Thursday a delegation from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
During the meeting, Nassr asserted her keenness on following up the joint projects currently established in Egypt as well as means to surpass obstacles facing them.
The meeting was attended by IFAD Country Program Officer Mohamed Shaker Hebara and other officials.
Nassr added that the ministry will provide 70 million dollars for a project aiming to achieve overall agriculture development, adding that the blueprints of the project will be set in the upcoming period.
She also discussed Sustainable Agriculture Investment and Livelihoods (SAIL) project that was launched in February and was funded by IFAD with 70 million dollars.
She pointed out that 7 million dollars were granted to support small farmers on adapting with outcomes of climate change and water shortage.
