Iran's North Khorasan Chamber of Commerce and Afghanistan Chamber of Trade and Industry have signed 20 Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) Iran's News Agency (IRNA) reported. Speaking at the event, head of North Khorasan Chamber of Commerce Mohammad Samadi said this province enjoys much potential particularly in agriculture sector, food industries, petrochemicals and construction materials. Samadi added that the Afghan merchants need some of the province's products such as petrochemicals, farming crops, construction materials and metal industries, the official (IRNA) news agency reported. Also, the head of North Khorasan Industries, Mines and Trade Department said Iran and Afghanistan enjoy close ties due to cultural and religious commonalities as well as common borders. Afghanistan and Iran share an extensive history. The Afghan-Iranian relations have improved since the fall of the Taliban and Iran has played an active role in Afghanistan’s reconstruction.
