Iran condemns bombing near ambassador residence in Libya

Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Sunday condemned a bombing that took place near the residence of the country’s ambassador in Libya, saying the explosion has caused no casualties, according to Iran's Press TV.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham said precise information suggest that an improvised explosive device went off in front of the old residence of Iran’s ambassador in Libya’s capital, Tripoli.
Afkham further noted that Iran monitors Libya’s situation, and voiced Tehran’s strong opposition to foreign interference in the African country’s internal affairs.
“We believe that developments in that country (Libya) should yield results through political consensus and national dialogue among the engaged parties,” she added.
