The Islamic Republic of Iran, by downing American spy aircraft “Drone”, has given a befitted reply to the US’ arrogance. Talking to IRNA, Prof Basir Ahmed Khan, former pro-vice chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in New Delhi, said: “This has proved the capabilities of the Iranian armed forces, who have done an appreciable job. Condemning the violation of Iranian airspace by the US, Indian scholar warned America against repetition of such acts. Referring to the US call to return its spy aircraft, Basir, who is also president of the Indian Union Muslim League, said, “The US President, Barack Obama, the supreme commander, should be prosecuted by International Criminal Court for violation of the Iranian airspace. Obama administration has violated the UN Charter that believed violation of any country’s airspace and territorial integrity was a “serious crime”. He reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran has full right not to return the spy aircraft to the US. Meanwhile, the Indian scholar termed Washington's move as “a preliminary war” against a peaceful country.
