
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his visiting Italian counterpart Paolo Gentiloni in a meeting in Tehran on Saturday underlined the need for the further expansion of mutual cooperation in various fields.
Gentiloni, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived in Tehran on Saturday morning at the invitation of Zarif to confer on the latest regional and international developments with senior Iranian officials, according to Fars News Agency.
During the meeting in the Iranian capital today, Zarif and Gentiloni explored avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating bilateral ties.
The Iranian and Italian foreign ministers also discussed the latest regional and international developments.
Gentiloni is scheduled to have meeting with other senior Iranian officials today.
