The Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi sent a congratulatory message to his Tunisian counterpart, Mr. Mohamed Mouldi Kefi, on the occasion of the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) elections of October 23, 2011. According to the communiqué of the Iranian Embassy in Tunis, Mr. Salehi also wrote, in the message, that "those elections deserve admiration and consideration," pointing out that the organisation of the first post-Revolution democratic elections "is a source of hope for a new stage of the Tunisian people's history." Moreover, the Iran FM reasserted his country's entire readiness to boost the fields of co-operation and bilateral relations at all levels.
