Irans Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said Tehran is ready to expand relations with European countries based on mutual respect and trust, Iran's Press TV reported Sunday. Iran is always ready to develop relations with European countries based on mutual trust, respect, and cooperation and in line with common interests, Salehi said in a meeting with new Irish Ambassador to Tehran Oliver Grogan. He described Iran-Ireland relations as good and expressed hope that bilateral ties would further increase. During the meeting, the Irish ambassador submitted his credentials to Salehi and expressed his countrys readiness for the development of ties with Iran in all areas. He also reaffirmed his countrys stance on the importance of negotiations as the only solution to settle any issues between Iran and the West.
