A ten-member Iranian delegation will participate in the 126th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly session to open on March 31 in Kampala, Uganda. Iran’s parliamentary delegation will be headed by a member of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh. Falahatpisheh, who is also president of the executive council of the IPU Assembly, will lead the Iranian delegation to the six-day event. The Islamic Republic of Iran is due to chair the Asia-Pacific group at the IPU Assembly session. Representatives from more than 120 world states are to take part in the event to review world social, economic and political situation as well as the latest developments in the Middle East and North Africa.
