
Chairman of the Foreign Policy and National Security Committee at the Iranian Shoura Council, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, reiterated on Monday Iran's support to the peaceful solution to the crisis in Syria, calling for regional cooperation to solve issues of the region and the Islamic Nation. Meeting chairman of the Iranian-Kuwaiti Parliamentary Friendship Group Ahmad Abdul-Mohsin al-Malifi in Tehran, Boroujerdi said that the regional countries have to cooperate to find a solution to settle the crisis in Syria. He stressed that the only way for the restoration of stability and security to the region is withdrawing the foreign military forces and consolidating security in light of the cooperation of all countries of the region. For his part, al-Malifi expressed readiness of the Kuwaiti parliament and government to develop relations with Iran through developing bilateral cooperation to resolve the issues of the Islamic Nation and the region, describing Iran as an independent country distinguished for its important role in realizing security and stability in the region.
