
Iranian President Hassan Rohani has called for more cooperation to maintain regional security and stability, Iran's official news agency (IRNA), reported. Speaking in a phone conversation with Sultan Qaboos Bin Said of Oman late Monday, the Iranian president said it was necessary for all countries in the region to exert more efforts to establish regional security and stability, it said. He said Iran and Oman, which overlook the Strait of Hormuz, are seeking to provide congenial circumstances for more cooperation with other regional countries in order to maintain security and stability in this vital watercourse, it added. Rohani noted that his country's foreign policy is based on dialogue built on peace, justice and balance, vowing that his country would seek to spread peace and friendship with all world countries, especially its neighbors. During the phone conversation, they also discussed bilateral relations between Iran and Oman and several regional issues of mutual interest, the IRNA added.
