Iran will not have military presence in Iraq

Iran will not have military presence in Iraq, Chief of Staff of Iranian Armed Forces Major General Hassan Firouzabadi said on Sunday, IRNA reported.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a local ceremony, he noted that Tehran supposes its neighbors' security as its own security.
Iran will not have military presence in Iraq and its assistance to Iraq is confined to consultation and advisory help, the commander added.
He called US interference in Iraq, the reason behind chaos in this region and said that no power has right to interfere in sovereign states under the excuse of establishment of peace and security there.
Commander of Qods Force Brigadier General Qasem Soleimani's presence in Iraq is for advisory help and it is because he is familiar with the complicated wars, Firouzabadi added.
He said that Iran supposes the neighboring countries as members of its family and it seeks good ties with all of them including Saudi Arabia.
Regional issues cannot be settled without Iran's help, the commander underlined.
He noted that Israel vocal threats against Iran shows the fact that this regime is desperate about its future.
Iran and Iraq have enjoyed growing ties ever since the overthrow of the former Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, during the 2003 US invasion of the Muslim country.
