An Iranian cultural delegation visited Lebanon-Israel border villages Wednesday and toured the formerly occupied area, according to the National News Agency. The delegation, headed by Mohammad Khoramshad, President of the Cultural and Islamic Relations Association in Iran, first made for the Fatima Gate (closed) border crossing, where Israel's separation wall is being constructed. The wall stretches from the former Jidar al-Tayyib Gate to the Fatima Gate. At the gate, the Iranians were received by a group of religious figures and village elders from Kfar Kila, who recounted the history of their village. Sheikh Sayyed Abbas Fadlallah spoke about the Israeli occupation, the operations carried out by the resistance and the liberation of the south in 2000. Fadlallah also briefed the delegation about the Israeli settlements across the border. Later, the delegation visited Iran's Garden in the village of Maroun Ras and met a member of the resistance who fought in the July 2006 war with Israel. Hezbollah hosted a luncheon for the visitors in Iran's Garden.
