Iran's Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi said on Sunday that Iran has always always underlined the importance of national unity and solidarity of Lebanese people. In reaction to recent anti-Iran remarks of Lebanon's Druze leader Walid Jumblatt and assistant US Secretary of State Jeffrey Feltman, he reiterated that Tehran's stance toward Lebanon is transparent. The Islamic Republic of Iran is duty bound to support rights of all world nations and help promote justice across the globe, he said, adding that Iran would help any country in need of assistance. The Islamic Republic has always called for establishment of national solidarity and stability in Lebanon, he said, stressing that Tehran believes that such objectives would be only achieved through non-interference policioes of the West, particularly the US in domestic affairs of regional states.
