Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi met here on Sunday with Syrian Minister of State for National Reconciliation Affairs Ali Haydar, who is currently on a visit to Iran. Iran's state-run News agency (IRNA) reported that the meeting dealt with bilateral relation and regional and international issues, particularly the Syrian crisis and ways to restore peace and stability in it. Salehi renewed, in this regard, his countries readiness to host dialogue between the Syrian government and opposition, noting that the Syrian issue can only be solved through peacefull dialogue. He called for a halt of violence and formation of a mechanism to meet people's demands, making a process of government-political groups talks, contribution and participation of all political groups and parties in their country's affairs and pushing for national dialogue for peace and lasting stability in Syria. For his part, the Syrian minister said that any proposal for solving the Syrian crisis must include an immediate end of all violence and denying any foreign interference
