
Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al Jaafari arrived here on Sunday to take part in the 13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, to be held on April 12-19.
In his speech before the gathering, Jaafari will present Iraq's vision on combating crime and terrorism, as well as challenges facing the region's stability, Iraqi Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
During his stay in Qatar, the top diplomat will hold meetings with top officials, members of the Iraqi diplomatic mission and Arab ambassadors, the statement added.
UN Secretary-General and delegations from 142 nations, including 110 heads of state and premiers are taking part in the congress.
