
Independent MP, Othman Al-Jehayshi confirmed that the national meeting needs goodwill by all the political blocs, as a first step to hold it. He said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "The political blocs continued media convulsive statements recently in spite of the holy month of Ramadan at a time they were supposed to stop such statements as a prelude to create the right atmosphere for the meeting." He called on political blocs to understanding, dialogue and real and serious stance to hold their responsibilities towards the Iraqi people. He added: "The closure of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad requires urgency in holding the national meeting to discuss the repercussions on the security file." It is mentioned that the leading figure in the State of Law Coalition, MP Ali al-Allaq has announced that the National Alliance to form a special committee to negotiate with other political blocs to discuss the possibility of convening a national meeting as soon as possible.
