Iraqi Minister of Migration and Displacement Jassim Mohammed Al Jaaf lashed out at the United Nations and their affiliated organizations over failure to carry out their duty vis-à-vis 46,000 people who left the western coast of Mosul since the commencement of the military operation against Daesh on February 19.
In press statements, Jaaf said the daily evacuation rate from Mosul exceeded 10,000 people.
Maintaining such evacuation rate requires expanding relief and shelter plan, he said.
He said "We hoped to see an effective role played by the UN organizations in relief and shelter operations in Mosul.
Nineveh MP Ahmed Jarba cautioned of a catastrophe if efforts were not stepped up to help Mosul evacuees.
