Islamophobia Monitoring Observatory of Dar al Ifta lauded statements by German Chancellor Angela Merkel where she asserted that Islam is not a source for terror.
At the same time, Merkel urged all the Islamic states to combat terror groups who have become a threat to all nations, the observatory said in a statement on Sunday.
The observatory said that Merkel's call conforms to the call by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to form an international union for combating terrorist groups topped by Daesh.
The observatory called for immediately responding to these calls and initiatives which aim at unifying the countries of the world.
