The Israeli occupation authorities has decided to close the Karam Abu Salem crossing as from today, Friday, and for three days and it will be opened next Monday. Chairman of the Co-ordination Committee for the entry of goods into the Gaza Strip, Raed Fattouh, said "We were informed by the Israeli side that they would close the crossing on Friday and Saturday under the pretext that these two days, Friday and Saturday are weekend, while Sunday coincides the festival of the descent of the Torah at the Jewish people. Earlier yesterday, Thursday, the Israeli authorities allowed 300 trucks loaded with goods, construction materials for international organizations, food gas and artificial solar for the electricity company, to enter the Gaza Strip through Karam Abu Salem crossing. Large quantities of cooking gas, and diesel for private sector companies, and industrial diesel for the power station in the Gaza Strip, have already been pumped yesterday.
