Israel fears a return to escalation on the border with the Gaza Strip after the ouster of Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, Israeli TV channel 10 news reported. Israel fears that the pressures exerted on Hamas after the dismissal of Mohamed Morsi would lead to a military escalation on the border with the Gaza Strip, said the report. In a related development, Israeli authorities claimed that two rockets fired from the Gaza Strip landed in an open area of Eshkol settlement in western Negev, saying that no injuries or damage were reported.
