The Palestinian side proposed few weeks ago, an initiative to convene a tripartite committee to address incitement and education toward peace both in Israel and the Palestinian Authority, a proposal that was refused by the Israeli government. The Israeli refusal came on claims that the Palestinian media outlets continue to present provocative content that incites against Israel. It's worth mentioning that the anti-incitement committee was established in 1998, during the Wye River agreement that was signed between Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the late Palestinian president Yasser Arafat. The committee was established to prevent incitement by media outlets and official websites from Palestinian and Israeli sides, yet the committee has not operated for years.
