Israeli Authorities decided to close the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron on Sunday and Monday to allow Jewish settlers to perform their rituals. Israeli Authorities informed the director of Wafq administration about their decision to close the Mosque for Palestinian worshipers while allowing Jews free access to the holy site's hallways and yards for the Jewish celebration of Yom Kippur. The Wafq administration stated that the Israeli decision is a violation of Muslims' right to worship, and he has called for an intervention to stop the violation of the Mosque. This is not the first time Palestinian Muslims' right to worship has been violated by Israeli authorities. Earlier in the month the Ibrahim Mosque was closed to Muslim worshipers during the Jewish new year Rosh Hashanah.
