Vandals desecrated tombstones in the Christian Orthodox cemetery in Israel's old city of Jaffa overnight Wednesday, the Israeli police said Thursday. The words "revenge" and "price tag" were spray-painted on tombstones in the cemetery and tires of four cars have been punctured, the police said. An investigation was underway, police spokesperson Mickey Rosenfeld told Xinhua. "Price tag attacks" are acts of vandalism and violence targeting Palestinians and their property as well as Christian and Muslim holy sites. Price Tags are usually perpetrated by settlers in the West Bank, however, in the last years an increase number of Price Tags were made against Israeli Arab citizens inside Israel. Two weeks ago a church was vandalized in Sha'ar Atzion near Jerusalem. In May, anti-Arab slogans were spray-painted on a house in Zephath, a city in the north of Israel and on a masque near the city of Afula.
