At least four Palestinian protesters have been wounded during clashes with Israeli troops near a military prison in the occupied West Bank. The Israeli forces fired tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the protesters, who gathered near Ofer prison to support hunger-striking prisoners. Palestinian Red Crescent officials said activist Tayseer Arabsha and three other people were injured by rubber bullets, Ma'an reported. Demonstrators showed solidarity with Palestinian prisoners on hunger-strike in Israel jails.Hundreds of Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails began an open-ended hunger strike on April 17 to protest against administrative detention and harsh prison conditions. The administrative detention rules allow the Israeli forces to arrest and incarcerate Palestinians without charge, trial or even without any information about accusations or evidence against them.
