Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and German Chancellor Angela Merkel both expressed their wishes to advance the peace process between Israel and the Palestinians on Monday evening. The two made short statements following their meeting in Jerusalem at Israeli Prime Minister's office and amid the German Chancellor's 24 hour visit in Israel, along with 16 ministers from her cabinet.
