Israeli troops detain 3 in Beit Ummar raid

Israeli forces detained three men on Wednesday during a raid on the southern West Bank town of Beit Ummar, local officials and the army said. Soldiers ransacked several homes in the town before detaining Rahsi Muhammad Awad, 17, Yasser Fayiz Abu Fanous, 17, and Muhammad Mahmoud Ikhlayyil, 22, a statement from the mayor's office said. An Israeli military spokeswoman said three men in Beit Ummar were taken for security questioning.
