Israeli troops fire, wound child in E. Rafah

A Palestinian child was shot and wounded by Israeli troops in eastern Rafah, south of Gaza Strip on Sunday. Gaza medical services spokesman Adham Abu Salmiah told KUNA the wounded six-year-old Majed Sultan was hit with the Israeli fire at Karam Abu Salam crossing, east of Rafah. Medics transferred the child with moderate wounds to Abu Yousef al-Najjar hospital for medical treatment, he added. Abu Salmiah has accused the Israeli Army troops of targeting Palestinian children, ever since recent escalation of violence in Gaza Strip.
