Israel on Monday called on its nationals to refrain from travelling to the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula due to deterioration of security. The broadcast statement on Israeli radio came from the Anti-terror Institute of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office. The Institute also urged nationals who are currently in Sinai to depart the country and return to homeland. "The dangers Israelis may face in the peninsula are aggravating amid unstable security circumstances," the institute statement added, claiming that "information indicates to the possibility of more attacks." According to Israeli radio, the alert, announced by the Egyptian security forces, continues in Sinai after the killing of an Egyptian soldier in an ambush near Al-Arish, the capital and largest city of the governorate of North Sinai, Sunday evening.
