Rafie al-Issawi, a leader of the Iraqiya coalition, discussed with the Turkish ambassador in Iraq, Younis Demerel overall current situation and the repercussions of the political crisis and its impact on the security and economic situation in Iraq. A statement, of Issawi's office said: "During the meeting, they discussed the demands of the demonstrators in a number of provinces, in which the government has not taken any real steps to implement them, even though they are constitutional and legitimate demands, adding that the continued disregard of the government to the demands of the protesters will lead the country to an unknown fate." It is mentioned that the arrest of members of the Protection team of the Finance Minister, the leader of the Iraqiya, Rafie al-Issawi, late last year, caused a political crisis reflected on the Iraqi street through demonstrations in several governorates to demand the government to conduct reforms and reduce arbitrary arrest, and release the innocent detainees who have not been convicted.
