
Visiting Italian Foreign Minister Emma Bonino on Wednesday expressed her belief that mission to confront terrorists is very thorny saying "there is no magical solution" to crush the terrorist groups.Speaking to journalists as she emerged from a meeting with Foreign Minister (of the caretaker government) Adnan Mansour, Bonino affirmed necessity that the "constitutional authorities in Lebanon play their role" in maintaining law and order across the country.Italy will not lower number of its peacekeepers serving in south Lebanon, she added, re-asserting Rome's keenness on supporting the local government and legitimate authorities.Bonino arrived in Lebanon, on Tuesday, for top-level talks on regional and local issues.She is expected to visit the international peacekeepers serving in the south. Lebanon has witnessed a wave of bombing attacks that have claimed scores of lives, injured many others and snagged the authorities efforts to maintain calm.
